... only Wild West is missing. It has now been a while since we are on this beautiful farm enjoying the life without stress – what fits better than horse riding?

We both have never learnt riding, but we got the chance to get some basics on the farm. These proud, strong animals, who do not have a problem to get rid of you. But we made friendship with the four horses, White Drina – the boss of the group, Black Drina – the oldest of the group, Kremica – the youngest of the group and Sava, the bad guy. All are Lipizzaner stallions, which are lucky as they didn’t get castrated. This made them resolute, when it came to show who the boss is.

Rough plays and injuries was not a rarity, when they were together on the paddock. Otherwise they had a very nice life there. When we went with them to the forest, they loved it and we too, as long as everything was under control.

Once we were in the forest and we met a female horse, which was working in the woods. You can`t imagine how the two stallions behaved. When we were able to calm them down a bit we rode as fast as possible through the forest back to the farm. Branches were like whips, trees always too close and the paths too narrow. Our hearths were beating and we were happy, that we and the horses arrived well back home.

It has not been every time this turbulent, when we went to the forest. Nenad, the owner of the farm, had his horses better under control as we had and riding with him through the forest was more calculable. Trotting on the path or galloping on the grassland – WOW. Before the first ride to the forest, it was an unpleasant feeling, as we didn’t know what to expect. But in the end it was just amazing. The power, the air and the feeling as being on a wave when galloping, it was incredible.

Horses are wonderful animals, we recommend that everybody who gets the chance to spend some weeks with horses, should do it with these proud and characterful animals, which can be as well very amiable.
